Job DescriptionRequired Experience: Experienced SQL Server DBA Consultant • Must have 10+ years hands-on SQL Server Relational database administration experience in a large, clustered SQL Server environment. • 2+ years hands-on DB2 z/OS database administration experience in large partitioned environment. • Lead DBA experience is essential. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. • Provide technical Tier 3 support. • Ability to work with multiple teams to coordinate and plan upgrades. • Work with vendors to determine SQL Server database instance configuration for installation of vendor application tools Required Technical Skills Include: • Installing, configuring, and upgrading SQL Server 2016. • Performance monitoring and tuning of SQL Server 2016. • Backing up and restoring of SQL Server databases. • SQL Server stored procedures using Transact-SQL. • Creating and maintaining complex DTS and/or SSIS packages, including error handling. • Database backup and other routine maintenance using TSM/Spectrum • Performance optimization including indexes and query analysis. • Creating a Maintenance plan, including documentation, and implementation in a 24/7 production environment. • SQL Server clustering. • Implementing SSL Authentication on the database server to help secure data • Installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining Sharepoint 2016 • Performance monitoring and tuning of Sharepoint 2016 • Backing up and restoring of Sharepoint 2016 • Adding managed service accounts (MSA) for Sharepoint 2016 content databases • Monitors logs for anomalies • Maintains server inventory • Troubleshoots database and application related issues. • Provides SQL Server counts for Microsoft licensing true-up and helps ensure BWC licensing is compliant. Desired Experience/Technical Skills/Achievements include: • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform – Windows 2008 & 2016 server, and networking, including firewall, TCP/IP routing and security. • Virtual Server / VMWare experience. • Experience in creating and supporting OLAP cubes • SQL Server database replication. • SQL Server log shipping.
